How do I use Hypnosis on a deaf individual?
How do I use Hypnosis on a deaf individual? This is personal to me so a real life answer is needed.

It's certainly the case that everybody can enter hypnosis, to a more or less greater degree, and we can enter hypnosis purely from visual cues. So sitting by a river bank and watching a river flow, sunlight glinting on the surface of the water for example, might be enough to trance out somebody without any auditory cues.
Now people don't have to close their eyes in order to go into trance. If the person can lip read or even if you write out suggestions to them, with the suggestion that when the eyes do close - if they close - then the person can simply continue to enjoy the suggestions you've already given them. So for example if someone can lip read you could talk in terms of, ‘they can begin to focus on their breath and focus on their hands… and what’s it like when you begin to breathe comfort and calm into your hands into the palms of your hands like a healing force… and how do your feet feel when they begin to relax on the floor… and what's it going to be like to feel relaxed in that situation we were discussing before… and in a few moments after you've closed your eyes, you can just quietly really enjoy being in that situation in the future and experiencing what it's like to feel relaxed.’
So you wouldn't be talking to them when they've got their eyes closed, but you'd be suggesting what they can experience after they've closed their eyes, but at this point they could be lip reading if they can lip read - if they can't lip read then you could certainly simply have pre-written suggestions and hold up the suggestions for them, that might be a way of doing it - but there's always a way if you're flexible enough.
