October 30, Issue 206
How much of you is reading this email, [First Name]? Not much, I'll warrant, and that's fair enough, it's hardly Shakespeare. But there are times we need to be fully present and we're not. And that dramatically reduces our quality of life. The first new script for October, Be Fully Present is to help your client bring their whole self to situations as often as possible.
I know it's hardly news that we're all distracted, but my feeling is that it's even worse than that. I think that it's the quality of our attention that suffers when we're worrying, or planning, or thinking about how this will look to others. When we're not fully present, it changes our attention in a way that we simply can't see what's actually there. Which means that being fully present will help your client really see what's there to be seen. Which could be truly magical.
The next new title for October is Overcome Survivor Guilt. This is a sort of attempt at balancing out 'fairness' for someone whose conscience won't let them move on from a tragedy where someone else, or others, have died, when they themselves haven't. It's wholly understandable and a nasty double-bind that your clients really need a deep change in perspective to move past.
And the last new title is Loss of a Patient. Healthcare workers need to strike a difficult balance. They need both connection to their patient while maintaining enough of a healthy detachment that they can make good, clear decisions and remain objective. It's not surprising that many suffer emotionally when they lose a patient and this script is designed to help.
And our upgraded script is Overcome Masturbation Addiction, which is a more prevalent problem than ever. As you know, hypnosis is remarkably good at helping with addiction because addiction itself thrives on a trance state that hypnosis is naturally good at altering.
That all for now, with my best wishes for the coming month,
Mark
