Hi
Uniforms are powerful. When we see someone in a police uniform, we often don't actually see the person wearing it - rather we just see what the uniform itself symbolizes. And what we see depends in part on how we have been conditioned to respond to authority. Blind obedience to authority is dangerous. This month's How to resist blindly following authoritybuilds on the session from September. It explores how personal and collective autonomy can be lost when we respond unquestioningly to authority and looks at how people manipulate the automatic (almost hypnotic) response that some feel when they encounter authority. More importantly, it suggests strategies for freeing oneself from being unduly influenced by outward shows of authority - a vital step on the path to greater self development.
It may not seem like a big problem. But it can be. I'm talking phones here, and more specifically the importance of remembering to actually take them out with us! Hypnosis can help 'program' us to automatically remember to pick up our phone whenever we need to leave anywhere. Which is why one new session this month is simply titled: Remember your phone. If you need to have a slim person's healthy attitude to food then our new improved Think thin is here this month to help change attitudes to eating. And another newbie for November is Stop excessive blinking. It's amazing how common the habit of nervous excessive blinking is (I even went through a phase of it myself as a teenager). This hypnosis download should help those who want to be free of this most distracting of habits.
All our downloads are created collectively. Four brains (with people attached!) go into producing all our material. Between us we keep up to date with psychological research and hypnotic innovation. With this is mind, I will dig a little deeper into some of the ideas behind three brand new November downloads in Downloads Unwrapped below.
All the best,
Mark

Mark's Tip for the Top
My personal favourite new download from the November list is Life priorities. Not just because it is beautiful to listen to, but also because when we all truly prioritise better the world becomes a better place for all of us.

Testimonials for the Cure Insomnia Hypnosis Download |
"The download is amazing and I do feel better when I 'do it' to sleep at night." by Richard D. Hardaway
I downloaded a couple of sessions but so far I just used the one for 'Cure Insomnia'. It's amazing... even if I don't make it through the whole download... I have a complete night's sleep without pills. By the way... I recorded the exercise twice followed by soft music.
I have had insomnia for some time... we believe it's caused from long naps in the afternoon. There is also the anticipation of our dog waking me up at 4 a.m.... but with the download I can usually go right back to sleep, after I put her out.
The download is amazing and I do feel better when I "do it" to sleep at night. (Unfortunately the batteries on my CD player were dead last night - mediocre night's sleep!).
This story came from Richard D. Hardaway who is Retired from McKinleyville CA, USA.
