March 27, Issue 199
First thing this month, [First Name], is a free Audio Insight. As you probably know, we release these every other month to bring you something we think you might find useful from a psychological perspective. This time we've got How to Stop Endlessly Worrying What Might Go Wrong. Although this was written some time ago, recent events have increased the general feeling of uncertainty again, which is what tends to lead to catastrophizing and worry. This short audio will give you some ways to reduce the impact of uncertainty, help you feel better and think more productively. Listen free here.
Now onto this March's new titles. There have been plenty of times I've embarrassed myself with a rant I've been on. Typically not an angry rant (although it's not unknown) but often super-convinced of my rightness, only to find out later that my rightness wasn't quite so right after all. Happily, age brings with it experience and I now try to see that sense of conviction as a warning sign that I might be missing something. This month's Stop Ranting script works along similar lines.
Our second new title this month is Rise Above Discrimination. No matter what the focus of the discrimination, human beings do seem to have a knack for spotting difference and treating it negatively. In fact, I think it's a rare person who hasn't been discriminated against for one thing or another. Our script focuses on building the psychological resources to remain untouched by others' prejudice by building up the sense of confident selfhood.
Finally, we hope to help people have more fun with Overcome Fear of Rollercoasters. There's something freeing about letting yourself experience a certain level of fear deliberately and rollercoasters are one terrifically exciting way to do it.
So, March's releases in summary are:
- Stop Ranting - help your clients gain control over their communication style.
- Rise Above Discrimination - help your clients stop others' prejudices affecting them.
- Overcome Fear of Rollercoasters - help your clients jump on and have fun with everyone else.
- Overcome Fear of the Phone - this month's upgraded script will help your clients communicate comfortably and clearly on the phone, without fear.
To freedom, inside and out,
Mark
