August 30, Issue 182
The events of the last few months have been challenging in so many ways for so many people [First Name]. One thing that has been universally felt is the effect of uncertainty on our everyday lives. When you don't know what's going to happen next week, never mind next year, it becomes incredibly difficult to plan. And so to protect our mental health, many of us have had to shorten our time horizons to that which we can predict with any certainty.
This is what gave rise to the idea for One Day at a Time. The ability to just deal with today and ignore what might be round the corner for a while is a key psychological strategy when times get unpredictable. No matter what you're dealing with, it can help reduce your stress levels hugely.
Recent times have also made us all hyper-aware of the dangers of infection, which is not a bad thing for short periods and in limited ways, but if this vigilance spreads to everything you do, it might be time to dial it back a bit. Infection Obsession is designed to get that tendency back into perspective so you can take reasonable precautions without it stopping you living your life.
The final new title for August is Speak After Stroke. This was created after a customer asked us for a session to help her husband, and pointed out the positive research for hypnosis use in this area.
So to sum up, this month we have:
- One Day at a Time - shrink your time horizon during difficult times and reduce your stress levels immediately.
- Infection Obsession - do what you need to do, but live your life too
- Speak After Stroke - gentle hypnotic help for the damaged brain
With all our best wishes, wherever you are,
Mark and the Hypnosis Downloads team.
